Missouri has a lot to be proud of, and so does Branson. Two of Missouri's cities were named among the Best Value Cities in the Nation, per Trivago.com. Branson was named #1 in the Nation, and the other city is Springfield, coming in at #7. Of course, we already knew that Branson was #1, but it's good to hear it from an outside independent source!
"The rankings were done using Trivago's "best value index", calculated using the annual average price of a standard double room and the city's average hotel rating by Trivago.com users. Cities with at least 50 hotels and a minimum average of 150 user ratings were considered in the index."(1)
Branson Travel Planning Association hosts an annual event, "See The World in Branson", which was voted one of American Bus Association's Top 100 Events for 2015 and 2016. "ABA’s Top 100 Events in North America is an annual compendium of the best events for group travel in the United States and Canada. Each spring, a committee of ABA member motorcoach and tour operators selects the Top 100 Events for the subsequent year. Winners are chosen from hundreds of celebrations, festivals, fairs, commemorative events, and more that have been nominated by ABA members."(2)
"See The World in Branson" is a fun, 4 day event held at the Welk Resort. You can see the best entertainers that Branson offers in one big show, along with the opportunity to meet and greet your favorite celebrities. Enjoy Savor the Flavor, an Iron Chef cookoff, and new this year, the Vintage Marketplace. It runs April 27th through the 30th, and is definitely an event you'll want to attend. It's not just for bus tours, either. Individual tickets can be bought at great prices. If you're a vendor specializing in vintage or antiques goods, please consider exhibiting in the Vintage Marketplace.(3) You'll have a guaranteed crowd in attendance due to the promotion by ABA, and the buses that bring customers right to the Marketplace door.
As most Branson residents and previous visitors will tell you, there is something for everyone here. History, nature, lakes & streams, wildlife, trophy fishing, golf, shows, attractions, theme parks, fine dining, convention facilities, luxury hotels, festivals, outlet malls and high end shopping, ziplines and eco-adventures, lake cruises, museums, well...we could go on and on. But you'll just have to experience it for yourself. Plan to spend a few days. Or maybe just a weekend. Branson Online can put together a customized package that includes the activities you want at the best prices. Or browse our pre-designed packages and see if there's one that works for you. If it's an event you want to catch, we'll check the dates and build your vacation package around the event!
