Sleds. Area 57. What does it all mean, especially for Branson? Should you get out your parkas and mittens and wrap aluminum foil around your head to stop 'them' from reading your thoughts? No, it's not about winter pastimes or even about aliens. What it really means that the excitement is not over for car lovers here in Branson. Beginning August 23 and running through August 25th, Sleds Midwest will hold their 6th Annual Car Show and Swap at Area 57, located next to Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theatre. Bring your pre-'69 ride, or pick up a spectator pass for a Kustom Car and Rod event that you will most definitely enjoy! Participants are invited to the Friday night free feast with evening entertainment provided. Free food and cars? Wow...can it get better? Yes. It can.
You'll have the opportunity to see Famous Kustom Car Builders with their famous cars, and magazine coverage is provided by by Kustoms Illustrated and others. The show will feature Flame Throwing and Burn Out Contests. Yes, burn out contests. Ah, the sight of white smoking pouring out of the wheel wells, and the smell of burning rubber...like music to our ears! On Saturday night, take advantage of the free Movie after the best Dam Cruise you'll ever take on a Saturday night. Raffles will be held, door prizes and games are offered. You'll also have the chance to stroll through the Toy Show and Swap Meet. You just might get lucky and find that one rare part that you need to complete your sled!

If you're following our blogs, by now you've probably realized that we are car enthusiasts here at Branson Online. Not only will you see those awesome "Lead Sleds", but if you're a muscle car fan, you'll like this show, too. Pre-1969 muscle cars are welcome to enter this show, and that makes us very happy. Nothing like a slick '64 GTO to make our heartbeat race. Long and low and plenty of chrome. Street Rods. Cool Trucks. Rat Rods. Muscle Cars. Bikes. You'll see it all at this fun show. And it just proves that yes, all of you night owls, Branson does stay up later than 10:30 p.m.!
