As Christmas nears and the temperature drops, many of us find ourselves 'nesting' in for the winter.    We are comfortable coming home at the end of a long day, sipping a bowl of soup, slipping into our footed PJ's, and curling up on the sofa with a big mug o' hot chocolate while watching the endless run of Christmas movies on TV over and over.   Not that there is anything wrong with Christmas movies - I have a few that are a 'must watch' each year.   We know the plots, we can recite the dialogue, and yet we continue to tune in for Christmas movie marathons with glazed and heavy eyes.

As the winter wears on (and on, and on...), I find myself anticipating spring even more than usual.   While everyone's stories of how deep the snow is at their place, or how they survived sliding out of their driveway are all interesting, I am longing to hear someone complain just once about the over-abundance of blooms on their daffodils.  Or how the crocus is taking over the yard.   Or maybe how the blueberry bush is greening up too early, and they are worrying that they didn't plant enough tomato plants.
